Ladies and Gentleman, Jenny Janak

Well damn, I'm in a sentimental mood today, so I'll take it out on Jenny. I Don't really know where to start with this girl, and won't give her any justice in this piece. I suppose we've been to hell and back together. If there is anyone in the universe who truly understands me and unconditionally appreciates me, it's her. She's there for sympathy and compassion, but not too much, just enough. She often puts me in my rightful place. One of the few girls who have to courage to jump into the canepoles -- man that deserves mad props!

Here she is, at a wedding back home, gnawing on something that didn't agree with her. She'll probably scold me for putting this picture on here, nontheless, she'll get over it.

Not only is she kind, compassionate, and well adjusted, she's a very powerful female, a role model, one who sticks their guns, who fights the right fights, and does not let anyone push her around. A lot of my male friends say 'Don't f*ck with Jenny' and they are sooo right.

She also is a cool person, has great taste in music, fun to be around.

To Jenny, a die hard czech, thanks for the great times, many more to come, the banter and company is great, and the curry is getting better!

The Mutha F*ckin' C-Dog

Ladies and Gentleman,

May I introduce the wonderful C-Dog. Someone who plays bass like nobody's bizness. His warmup riffs include the Mario Brothers theme, you know the one when Mario is underground. When C-Dog is not rippin the bass up, he's either workin it at Circuit City, or travelling the world and the seven seas. Here's our hero in Mexico after 7 shots of tequila and 7 rum and cokes.

C-Dog is also very proficient in the martial arts. He once kicked and mean cowboy in the face and knocked him out cold. We have vowed never to wrestle, as he would probably accidently break my arm or something bad like that.

Here he is pictured attempting to smoke a christmas light on 37th street Austin Hippieland Christmas.

C-Dog is also a ladies man, here he is pictured at Volente Beach in Austin. We actually had to put a fence around the 'photo shoot' b/c girls were throwing their bras and underpants all over the set and making it difficult to take photos.

Notice the evolution of hair in the pictures, it keeps getting shorter and shorter. C-Dog is a bada$$, can't put it into words. Can't count the number of times we've cruised around listening to Buckley, jumping into canepoles, pool games, ummmmm.....flips in Scotland in front of Mr. Boni's, and just all around wonderful times, antics, and banter.

Looking forward to recording some quality tunes with you very soon!

CP42659 - aka - Cindy Pokluda

To whom it may concern:

This my friends is Cindy Pokluda, easily one of my best friends throughout college. I knew her for many years, but finally thru mutual friends we started to get to know each other.

An alumnist from good ol Texas State University, she now resides in Traverse City Michigan doing some fancy stuff far away, so I never get to see her.

Cindy is hands down the best spades player I have had to pleasure to sit at the card table with. Used to piss me off bad that CP and Dawn were the only ones that could beat Kevin King and I. I also can't forget the numerous times you cleaned my room for me! I remember the wonderful nights at Riverside, the numerous margaritas, and the dreaded papasan poosman.

Here's Cindy and some pirates at Haloween, I'm sure they were going out to get some candy somewhere.

Cindy, such an extraordinary person, I miss you bunches, wish you were closer to Austintown so we could tear up the concert scene! One of these days I'll drive the VW up to visit!

Jamie Chumchal - International Business Traveler

Jamie Jamie Jamie,

About as good of friends as friends can get I suppose? Traveling the world, kicking a$$ and taking names in the business world, and being one of my most kind and compassionate friends, what else can I say?

Back in 8th grade, I was the most dorky-zit faced poor excuse for a non-cool kid on the planet. Jamie was the coolest girl in our class, the class president, athletic, all that other stuff. Of all things, Jamie gave me the pleasure of being her date to our 8th grade graduation party. One of these days she's going to give me the crazy picture so I can post it. I was so excited / nervous, etc, not only did I almost piss my pants, but I was so nervous I hardly spoke a word to her all evening. In fact, I think I was so petrified and intimidated being the date of such an amazing person in a 'date' context, I don't think I did say a word!

What is Jamie doing now? Well she's in Scotland, or somewhere galavanding around Europe for the weekend. Here's a picture of her, getting paddled down the river, probably with Don Juan at the other end of the boat.

Here she is pictured in the acient city of Prague.

Jamie also has this crazy habit of running marathons, which makes me want to have a heart attack just thinking about it. She has great taste in beer, and she can stomach the Strongbow!

To sum it up, I'm sure Jamo is effective / efficient / extremely busy at what she does, but she always has time to corrospond, give me life advice when needed, and a fiercely loyal friend. No matter if she is 100 or 5,000 miles away, I know Jamie is right there when I need her, for any and everything.

Next time we hang out I won't be a panzy and have one beer and say I'm finished. Can't wait till you get home so we can catch up!

Ryan 'dont say I have a big forehead' Boedeker

Well Well Well -- A little bird told me you had a blog out there, so hence decided to 'feature' you in my blog.

Sentimental Times - Ryan has been my buddy since we were small tykes playing smear the queer (poor Benny). Growing up we played football and baseball together, and he always tried his luck at tennis with me too. A badass baseball player who was one of the founders of 'Britches Boyz' (too damn bad I don't have my shirt anymore - gonna have to make a new one) and the MASTER of the crowhop.

In high school Ryan took a liking to me and helped make me cool, and when Ryan, who was 'king ding-ling' in High School liked you, you were respected. Thanks for taking up for me all those times people laughed at my long socks and the #7 jersey that my mom dressed me in, and slowly but surely weening me into 'cool-dom.' I mean look at this guy, he's such a pimp - Mr. sunglasses at high school graduation (Marty, the other dude in the pic is 'swingin' too, but that's for a different post).

Then into college, where we were roomates for 3+ years, great times / great exposure and it was great being around a pretty level headed dude, except the time when, well nevermind, and also when, well nevermind!

Thanks Again For:

  • Going to about 1 billion concerts with me (Tesla / Freakhouse being a
    high point -'Loud as F*ck'

  • Many nights of Spades with Kevin King

  • Helping me with all the grief of losing my 'first love'

  • Getting kicked out of the Refreshments Gig with me

  • Patting me on the back when the poosman almost knocked me the f*ck out
    on the basketball court

And the list goes on and on --

Although Ryan is now domesticated with a beautiful wife and son and another baby on
the way and I'm now wild and out of control, I enjoy hanging with him and wish
we could do it more often.

Mike P Mahon

Mike P - What can I say about this character, A diamond in the rough -- I have a love hate relationship with this guy, the hate b/c I spend more time with this person than anyone. A very eclectic, deep person, usually it takes time for me to catch up with him and his techie wisdom.

Mike P's Blog

Typical Day:
  1. Breakfast at Scooters with Mike P
  2. Mike P sits 3 cubes down from me at work
  3. Lunch with Mike P
  4. Afternoon meeting with Mike P
  5. Dev lab configuration before I go home with Mike P
  6. Afternoon walk with Mike P
  7. Geeking at coffee house till 11pm with Mike P

Well, you get the picture. Funny thing is, If I were gay, I wouldn't find Mike P attractive at all. I find him a bit too butchy for my liking. Now I suppose if I was gay, I would think Chris Cornell would be my dream guy.

Mike P's Hot or Not Link - Give Him Some LOVE AND READ HIS KEYWORDS -- Seems like he's getting a lot of hits from the Ozarks

At any rate, Mike P is a class act, glad he's one of my buds. Cheers Mate
